Joint press conference by REMONDIS and Werner & Mertz

on the first day of this year’s IFAT trade fair in Munich (30^th May – 3^rd June, 2022) and would like to invite you to attend.

How REMONDIS and Werner & Mertz are closing plastic loops“.

Reinhard Schneider, managing partner of Werner & Mertz (brands: Frosch, Greencare Professional, emsal, etc.), Herwart Wilms, managing director of REMONDIS, and Dr. Nabila Rabanizada, technical manager for plastics recycling at REMONDIS, will be using concrete practical examples to show how plastic life cycles can be closed. The occasion is the start of a new cooperation between the two companies within the framework of the Recyclate Initiative.

At the press conference, the political framework conditions in the EU will be discussed as well as providing an insight into new technical processes. Does the introduction of a polluter-pays levy on non-recycled old plastic packaging, the so-called „plastic tax“, have the desired steering effect? What still needs to be done to promote the recycling of plastics more strongly and to make it a successful model with a worldwide exemplary character?   

Afterwards, journalists present can address their questions to the panelists in an open exchange.
